BANDUNG TRAILS (BT) was founded on September 1, 2003, as a Bandung heritage walk community – the first of its kind in Bandung. Its goal was simple; to promote Bandung and its heritage to the public through educational and tourism activities. In 2007, BT was officially registered as an organization and added a business unit. Up until now, BT has organized a big number of heritage tours (Heritage in Togetherness) as well as other innovative programs in an educational and recreational approach. Thousands of people, both Bandung residents and visitors of all walks of life, have joined and shared benefits through BT’s various activities.

About the founder of BANDUNG TRAILS. Teguh Amor Patria was born in Bandung and graduated from Tourism Management, Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung (Bandung Institute of Tourism). His experiences in working and traveling to a number of places inside and outside of Indonesia have made him realize of Bandung’s unique heritage, and given him inspiration to found BT in 2003. A number of his articles have been published on local and national mass media. As a result of his works, he received scholarship from the Catalonian Government, Spain, in 2005 to continue postgraduate study in the University of Barcelona, majored in International Cultural Cooperation (specialized in heritage). Now, aside from managing and developing BT, he also lectures in his alma mater.
